International Symposium on Employment and Social Security Held in Xinjiang
On December 16, 2024, the CAREC Institute participated in the International Symposium on Employment and Social Security, held in Xinjiang. The event brought together over 200 distinguished participants, including representatives from foreign embassies, academic institutions, international organizations, and the media. The forum provided a platform for discussing employment trends and strategies within the region, fostering collaboration and the exchange of knowledge.
Speaking on behalf of the CAREC Institute, Mr. Charymuhammet Shallyyev highlighted the region’s significant achievements in expanding employment opportunities, boosting incomes, and enhancing overall well-being. Drawing from his recent visits to Urumqi and Changji cities, he praised the determination and aspirations of local communities, acknowledging their efforts to build better lives through hard work and continuous development.
In the address, Mr. Shallyyev emphasized three key priorities for driving employment growth across the CAREC region: fostering inclusive and sustainable employment policies, strengthening regional economic cooperation, and harnessing green and technological innovations. He stressed Xinjiang’s strategic role as a hub for economic collaboration, particularly through initiatives like the Xinjiang Pilot Free Trade Zone, which offers significant potential for job creation and cross-border trade.
As the knowledge support arm of the CAREC Program, the CAREC Institute remains committed to promoting economic cooperation and sustainable development.
