First CAREC Institute Advisory Council Meeting

The first Advisory Council (AC) Meeting of CAREC Institute was held at the Asian Development Bank PRC Resident Mission Office (ADB PRCM) in Beijing. High level delegates from CAREC member countries, ADB, a representative from Islamic Development Bank and other collaborating partners of CI, the Management of the CAREC Institute participated in the meeting.

Participants discussed the adoption of rules and procedures of the Advisory Council, selection of the Chair of the AC, CI 2022 Strategic Framework, the financial stability of CI, CAREC-BRI cooperation, global and regional economic trends and the emerging role of CI, the collaboration between ADB PRCM and CI through regional knowledge sharing initiatives and other activities.
