CAREC Institute Showcases Its Expertise at the 11th Asia-Pacific Trade Facilitation Forum

CAREC Institute’s Senior Research Specialist Dr. Ghulam Samad recently shared institute’s research findings at the prestigious 11th Asia-Pacific Trade Facilitation Forum held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. The forum, organized by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), brought together over 200 participants from 40 countries to discuss digitalization and sustainable supply chains in the region.

In the session titled “Advancing Digitalization for the Future – Institutional Initiatives and Support,” Dr. Ghulam Samad discussed the CAREC Institute’s research efforts in trade facilitation, highlighting the significance of digital trade facilitation and the future trajectory of regional trade policies. He actively participated in discussions regarding the CAREC Monitoring and Management (CPMM) methodology, underscoring the importance of data-driven analysis in guiding trade facilitation approaches.
