CAREC Institute Hosts Successful Quarterly Review Meeting with Key Stakeholders
On July 12, the CAREC Institute successfully held its online quarterly review meeting, presenting recent achievements, addressing challenges, and outlining future strategic plans. Key stakeholders, including representatives from the CAREC Secretariat (Asian Development Bank) and the Ministry of Finance (the People’s Republic of China), participated.
CAREC Institute Director Mr. Kabir Jurazoda provided updates on the Rolling Operation Plan for 2024 and 2025, highlighting significant progress across various areas, preparations for the upcoming Advisory Council meeting, efforts towards financial sustainability, and revitalization initiatives. Stakeholders engaged in productive dialogues, focusing on the Institute’s revitalization, which outlined a thorough approach to restructuring.
Key areas of emphasis included long-term strategy development, enhancing product quality and country ownership, talent acquisition, robust governance, and financial sustainability. Feedback also underscored several critical areas for the Institute’s sustained growth and effectiveness. These include the development of in-house capacities, strategic utilization of consultants, establishing metrics for evaluating the effectiveness of products and activities, financial mobilization, and enhancing coordination among divisions and with external partners. These components are essential for driving the Institute’s progress and impact.
Through these discussions and plans, the Institute’s dedication to fostering regional development and cooperation was clearly demonstrated.
