The discussion focused on enhancing their collaborative efforts, particularly in the areas of regional development and infrastructure investment.
Mr. Jurazoda expressed his gratitude for MCDF’s continued support, which has been pivotal to the success of initiatives such as the upcoming Residential Workshop on Debt Sustainability for Central and West Asia. This workshop, scheduled for November at the CI headquarters, is designed to enhance the capacities of CI member countries and foster meaningful dialogue among key stakeholders.
Mr. Wang, in his speech, stressed the need for strengthened regional cooperation and innovative financial solutions to overcome the challenges of sustainable development, underlining MCDF’s commitment to these goals.
Moving forward, CI and MCDF will continue exploring joint efforts in capacity building and knowledge sharing through workshops focused on public-private partnerships, financial governance, and sustainable urban development. Additionally, they plan to collaborate on research projects to address common challenges, including transport connectivity, climate change, cross-border trade, economic infrastructure, green energy, while promoting investment across the CAREC region.
By combining their expertise, the CAREC Institute and MCDF are committed to creating impactful learning environments that bridge geographical boundaries, fostering essential dialogue among policymakers, financiers, and other stakeholders.
The Multilateral Cooperation Center for Development Finance (MCDF) is a multilateral financial mechanism that supports high-quality infrastructure and connectivity investments in developing countries. Through partnerships, MCDF offers grants and technical assistance to enhance sustainable cross-border infrastructure growth, adhering to International Financial Institution (IFI) standards in areas such as debt sustainability, environmental and social standards, and anti-corruption. Projects facilitated by MCDF must involve accredited Implementing Partners like the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and the International Fund for Agricultural Development, among others. These partners work to integrate IFI standards among New Partners and implement projects through MCDF’s Collaboration Platform and Finance Facility.
