Upcoming CAREC Think Tank Network Dialogue on Energy Transition Cooperation

The CAREC Think Tank Network (CTTN) is set to hold a pivotal dialogue on October 25, 2024, from 13:00 to 15:00 Beijing/Manila time, focusing on advancing energy transition cooperation through investment and finance in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Pakistan. This event will address the pressing challenges and opportunities in scaling up renewable energy initiatives within the CASA (Central Asia and South Asia) region, which is expected to become a hotspot for energy growth and greenhouse gas emissions in the coming decades.

Co-organized by the CAREC Institute and Greenovation Hub (GHub), the dialogue will bring together leading experts from think tanks, financial institutions, civil society, and industry to assess the current state of renewable energy cooperation between the CASA countries and the People’s Republic of China. Participants will explore strategies to close gaps in power sector development and develop innovative investment mechanisms, aiming to boost international collaboration toward a low-carbon future.
