CAREC Chai X：Addressing Socio-Economic Inequality in the CAREC Region

The CAREC Institute, in partnership with the Asian Development Bank, will host the Chai X webinar titled “Socio-Economic Inequality in the CAREC Region: Enhancing Equality and Decent Work” on September 24, 2024, from 16:00 to 18:00 （UCT+8）.

This event aims to tackle the pressing challenges of income inequality and labor market dynamics in the CAREC region. Participants will engage in discussions on policy recommendations, skills development, and strategies for promoting decent work and social inclusion.

Key objectives include:
– Analyzing current trends in income inequality and labor markets.
– Exploring collaborative frameworks for mitigating inequality.
– Sharing knowledge and best practices among stakeholders.

The target audience for this event includes government officials from CAREC member countries, representatives from international organizations and NGOs, academics and researchers specializing in labor economics and social policy, private sector stakeholders, and civil society organizations focused on economic development and social inclusion.
