CAREC Institute Strengthens Ties with ERI
On August 28, 2024, the CAREC Institute team, led by Director Mr. Kabir Jurazoda, visited the Eurasian Research Institute (ERI) at the Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Turkish-Kazakh University in Almaty, Kazakhstan. This significant visit marked a milestone in fostering deep connections between the two institutions. Mr. Jurazoda extended heartfelt thanks to ERI for its robust support and significant contributions to key CAREC events, underscoring the essential role ERI plays in regional development initiatives.
Dr. Suat Beylur, Director of ERI, emphasized the critical importance of such collaborative platforms in promoting knowledge sharing, enhancing institutional capacities, and strengthening partnerships across borders. The discussion was enriched by Dr. Zhengizkhan Zhanaltay, Deputy Director of ERI, who provided a detailed presentation on the Institute’s historical evolution, core research areas, and landmark publications.
The dialogue centered on sustaining and enhancing collaborative efforts, with both institutions committing to explore new joint projects. Discussions delved into potential cooperative endeavors in economics, energy, and climate change, as well as the organization of joint research conferences, visiting fellow programs, and broader dissemination of research outputs.
The session concluded with a consensus to strengthen the partnership by drafting a Memorandum of Understanding and developing a comprehensive action plan. ERI will provide background information about its organization and a proposal for joint actions. This agreement aims to enhance collaborative efforts in addressing regional challenges and advancing sustainable development, reaffirming the commitment of both institutions to their shared objectives.
