Karamay Advanced Science and Technology Joint Institute Explores Collaboration with CAREC Institute
On July 3, a delegation from the Karamay Advanced Science and Technology Joint Institute, led by Mr. Yan Lijun, visited the CAREC Institute to explore potential cooperation. They were warmly received by the CAREC Institute’s Director, Mr. Kabir Jurazoda.
Both organizations introduced their institutions and discussed synergies. Mr. Jurazoda highlighted CAREC Institute’s roles and contributions, including significant presentations at key forums and exhibitions in Karamay. The visiting delegation outlined their focus on regional energy transformation, emphasizing innovation in key technologies, pilot testing, business incubation, and industrial demonstration. Their strategic directions include climate change, clean and efficient oil and gas, energy and food security, and the Eurasian Golden Hub.
Dr. Kuat Akizhanov, Deputy Director Two of CAREC Institute, led further discussions on collaboration in climate change, energy technology, and regional cooperation. Topics included joint research initiatives, visiting fellowships, and summer schools.
Dr. Akizhanov expressed optimism about the collaboration, noting the promising opportunities for joint research and workshops. Mr. Yan Lijun shared his enthusiasm, emphasizing the strong foundation laid for future joint endeavors.
Both institutions pledged to continue investigating collaborative opportunities, signifying the beginning of a productive partnership.
