CAREC Think Tanks Forum Report 2021: Economic Corridors

Under the umbrella of CAREC Think Tank Network (CTTN), the CAREC Institute organized the fifth CAREC Think Tank Development Forum (CTTDF) in cooperation with ADB-PRC Regional Knowledge Sharing Initiative (RKSI) and the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers (TIIAME) on 23-24 November 2021 with a theme of ” Economic Corridors: Pathways to Regional Growth ” in a virtual modality. Over 150 participants from leading think tanks, universities, member governments, and development partners attended the forum to deliberate the structure, design, and governance issues of Economic Corridors (EC) development with an emphasis on their role as drivers of economic growth and regional integration with a view to learning from successes and failures in the Asian region. The forum also took stock of the progress on the economic corridors currently at different stages of development in the CAREC region and the role think tanks can play in their development.
